Job Description:
The Project Head – Construction is responsible for leading and overseeing all construction projects from planning through completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. The Project Head manages project teams, coordinates with stakeholders, and drives operational excellence across multiple sites if required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end execution of construction projects (residential, commercial, infrastructure, etc.).
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies. Oversee site operations to ensure adherence to timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports for senior management. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Approve procurement plans and vendor contracts.
- Manage project budgets and control costs effectively.
- Resolve technical, operational, and workforce-related issues.
- Drive continuous improvement in construction processes and standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 12–20 years of experience in construction/project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
