Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain master project schedules using tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
- Define project milestones, critical paths, and timelines for all phases.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams for accurate planning inputs.
- Prepare resource allocation plans for manpower, materials, and equipment.
- Monitor and control project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flows.
- Track and report cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Review project progress on a weekly/monthly basis and identify delays or deviations.
- Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and progress presentations for management.
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) or equivalent systems to track project performance.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conduct planning review meetings with project teams.
- Support tendering teams with project scheduling and resource estimation during bid stage.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in project planning systems and processes.
Skills & Competencies Required:
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 / MS Project
- Excellent understanding of construction sequencing, contracts, and cost control
- Leadership and team management skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- 8 plus years of experience required.
