Job Description
The Audit Engineer – Avalon is responsible for conducting internal audits of construction projects, verifying compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, engineering standards, and financial controls. The role ensures operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and adherence to quality and statutory requirements across Avalon project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic internal audits of Avalon construction projects.
- Verify project progress, material consumption, contractor bills, and work completion against approved BOQs and contracts.
- Review engineering documentation, site records, and quality reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Assess adherence to company SOPs, internal controls, safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Identify process gaps, operational risks, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with Project, Procurement, Finance, QS, and QA/QC teams during audit assignments.
- Prepare audit reports with findings, observations, risk assessments, and recommendations.
- Track implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Support management in strengthening internal controls and improving operational efficiency.
- Perform special audits and investigations as assigned by the Head of Internal Audit
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- Additional certification in Internal Audit, Quality Management, or Risk Management is an advantage.
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in construction, project auditing, QA/QC, or internal audit.
- Experience in residential or commercial real estate projects is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, BOQs, contracts, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with internal audit procedures and risk assessment.
- Understanding of quality standards and construction regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit assignments.
